Why KIS?
At KIS Astana, learning is about more than academics. We support your children to become caring, open-minded adults with the skills and qualities they need for life.
The International Baccalaureate programme, that we plan to use at KIS is academically rigorous. The IB is an educational programme for 3 to 18-year-olds created by educators to help develop skilled, thoughtful and socially aware young people. The IB Organization (IBO) is a non-profit organization, which is independent of governments, with IB World Schools in over 150 countries worldwide. Leading universities around the world seek IB students esteemed for their academic skills and personal organization required to succeed in their studies. IB students are prepared to engage with the wider world and contribute actively to society.
At KIS Astana, learning is about more than academics.
KIS Astana is a multicultural learning environment, with our students and staff from all over the world. We promote international thinking and global awareness and are involved locally in helping our community in Astana and throughout Kazakhstan.
KIS Astana is a warm and welcoming community where everyone is valued. We aim to create a family atmosphere with a close partnership between parents and the school. We plan to have an active, supportive Parent-Teacher Association with voting rights at the board level.
English is the language of communication in school, not only in the classroom but also at recess and around the school.
We support your children to become caring, open-minded adults with the skills and qualities they need for life.
